TOP 5 MEDWAY RESTAURANTS

Up this week TOP 5 Medway restaurants, just a handful of our favourite spots in Medway. We will do a Kent one soon too as well as further afield. These are in no particular order and of course this list is not at all exhausted.

  1. Rico Sabor, Rochester

Tapas is one of our favourite types of food because you get to try everything that comes to the table and its such a casual fun way to dine. Rico Sabor is one of our favourite tapas places in Kent in fact. We have always had a great experience and great food! It’s also all flat so lovely and accessible for us! They are currently offering a takeaway service too so we can still get our tapas fix! We’ve written a blog post on our experience here before – check out what we think – https://lovefoodeatmore.com/2020/01/30/rico-sabor-rochester/

  1. Butchers Block, Rochester

Though not strictly accessible as there is a large step to the entrance we love a visit here – they are always happy to help us getting in the building. It’s a lovely village spot with some of the best steaks we have had in Kent along with great service and a large gin list – win win! They are currently are offering various takeaway options available – you can find out more at their instagram page

  1. Ela Kendro, Gillingham

Again, we love this kind of dining as they do some great sharing platters. Greek food is another big hit with us and there are few places that do Greek food in the immediate local area to us which is such a shame really but these guys do it so well and its really reasonably priced in our opinion. Sadly they are currently closed for takeaway as well as the obvious dine in which is a shame, we hope to see them back soon.

  1. Mamma Mia, Rochester

Good authentic Italian food is something we really love to eat so we’ve picked two for this list, both in Rochester High Street! Up first is Mamma Mia a small family run restaurant the service is always really good because there aren’t too many people and tables and the food always delicious with lovely specials. Currently offering takeaway service – check out their Instagram and Facebook pages for more information.

  1. Don Vincenzo, Rochester

The other Italian for our list, this one bigger than Mamma Mia but you still get that authentic family run feel about the place. The menu hasn’t changed in years and we love that – if it ain’t broke don’t fix it! A firm favourite of ours in the high street.
